WYALUSING ROCKS
Once a sacred place to the area's Native American residents, the Wyalusing Rocks offers one of the region's most splendid vistas.
The view offers a wide panorama of the rolling farmland of Terry Township bordered by the Susquehanna River. The railroad that follows the river was built on the tow path of the North Branch Canal. The sunset view, with soaring birds overhead, pictured on the right, is a common sight at the "Rocks" Located just over a mile west of Wyalusing on Route 6, the vista offers a large parking area and is easily accessible. Future plans call for construction of a visitor's center near the Rocks. |
