What Is a Duck Derby, Anyway?

If you’ve been hearing about the Wyalusing Duck Derby and wondering what it’s all about here’s the scoop!

A Duck Derby is exactly what it sounds like: hundreds of ducks racing down a waterway for prizes. Ducks. RUBBER Ducks. The Yellow Squeaky Kind... Not the Feathered Quacking Ones.

You adopt a duck (or several!), we give it a number linked to you, and then on race day we let them loose in the creek at Creekside Park. They bob and bounce their way toward the finish line, and the first ducks across win prizes for their adopters! This family fun day is FREE admission, with activities for the whole family as well as vendors, food, and live music. The Duck Race is only a piece of the action!
