WIDCO MINUTES
July 13, 2006

 The Wyalusing Industrial Development Committee met July 13, 2006 at the Community Building on Main Street, Wyalusing.  Those present were Marvin Meteer, Bill Snyder, Leslie Wizelman, Mike Kilmer and Bobbi Lord.
President Marvin Meteer presided.  Minutes of the March 23rd meeting were distributed and approved as presented.
Leslie Wizelman gave each member with a copy of the revised and finalized version of the group’s by-laws.  
Mike Kilmer presented the Treasurer’s report, showing WIDCO status as of June 30, 2006.  WIDCO has $53,225.22 in a CD. $256.10 in a checking account.
Marvin distributed a sample promotional package from the Valley Business Park in Athens Township. Discussion followed on preparation of a similar package for Wyalusing that highlights properties available for business and industry as well as demographics and services.
It was agreed the project should be turned over to the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of commerce, with the cost underwritten by WIDCO.  Bill Snyder agreed to bring it up at the September GWCC meeting.
Mike Kilmer reported for the GWCC Business Incubator Committee that the group is still looking into getting a family doctor to locate in Wyalusing, and that progress is being made.
It was also reported that a new gymnastics business is coming to the area.  It will be owned by Liz and Damon Albert who are moving here from New York.
Leslie moved to grant $5,000 to GWCC to supplement the salary of the chamber’s executive coordinator, Wendy Gaustad, who also does a lot of work for WIDCO.  The motion was seconded and approved.
Mike Kilmer made a motion to grant $5,000 to Wyalusing Community Corporation to be used for work on the parking lot and sidewalks.
The meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m.  The next meeting will be at  5:30 p.m., October 31, 2006.
