North Branch Arts Festival- Events Schedule- 2007- Wyalusing, PA

Friday, October 5th

5 pm - The Sky Above Us and The Air We Breathe  Art Show - at the Blue Heron Art Gallery- 121 Main Street. Meet poets and painters featured in the exhibit and book.

6:45 Poetry Reading

7 pm Galumpha - $12 for the evening $6 for Kids

8:15 pm Dance Lesson Balboa a great dance for fast swing music- Instructor- Brian Keeler

9:00-  Ventilators- A Blues Band

Saturday, October 6-  Most event are FREE-  Volunteers will be circulating with “I support the Arts” button tags- Only $1 – please support the festival with one for each attendee- thanks.

7:00 a.m. Triathlon Registration opens- WCC Building –121 Main Street-in T/W Community Room- in back- behind Blue Heron Gallery

8:15 a.m.- Triathlon Registration closes-

8:30 a.m. – Triathlon Orientation – WCC Building or parking lot

9:00 a.m. -Triathlon Begins on Bridge Street.

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Arts and Crafts fair on Main Street.

9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.- Pies that Made Wyalusing famous- contest- in T/W Community room

10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Chicken BBQ_ Wyalusing Rainbow Club – on Main St

10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open houses at several galleries in and around town- Including Blue Heron Gallery, Diana Black, Wyalusing Museum, Marvin Baker at Masonic Lodge and Brian Keeler- Other Art Trail participants throughout NE PA.

1:30 p.m. Awards ceremony for Triathlon- T/W Community Room

1:00 p.m. Awards ceremony for Pie Contest. -  T/W Community Room

Music and Dance- All Music and dance events will be in the parking lot tent on Main Street- unless inclement weather- then in WCC’s  T/W Community room.  All afternoon events are free.  A $1 donation gets you a button ticket to help our event.

7:00 pm - West Coast Swing dance lesson – with Brian Keeler Free with admission- $12 for two amazing bands, plus dance performances

9:00m - Electric Slide lesson with Carol Goodman

9:10 Bobbi Henrie and the Goners - Perhaps the best dance band you’ll ever come across. These guys from Rochester, NY have been playing their own unique version of rock-a-billy, swing and blues together for many years and laying down a great groove that you’ll love to move to.

Sunday October 7-

10 a.m. Pumpkin Float- Dave & Melody Buck of Endless Mountains Outfitters present their annual canoe/kayak paddle between Sugar Run and Laceyville- 746-9140

Noon to five- open houses continue in Wyalusing and at other venues of art trail between Wilkes-Barre and Wyalusing and other nearby towns

5 to 7 p.m.  -13th Annual Poetry – reading at the Masonic Lodge on Church Street in Wyalusing- Interested poets call Brian Keeler at 746-1187 or bkeeler@epix.net
